I-80 Auto Auction and Sales - Auction Information

I80 AUTO AUCTION IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Not only are we open to the public for purchasing vehicles, but we are open to the public for to sel your vehicle as well. Our auction boasts an average 60% sales rate and our fees are the lowest in the area. In fact, you can run your vehicle through our auction for less than it costs to list it in the local paper. Your vehicle will be viewed by hundreds of potential buyers both live and online.

VEHICLE SALE PROCESS
We try to make the vehicle check-in and sale experience as simple as possible, so we've streamilined the process. To sell your vehicle, you will need only three things:

- A clear title.
- Vehicle keys.
- The vehicle.

That's it. When you bring your vehicle to our facility, we will check your the stauts of your title and have you fill out a short check-in sheet. The process typically lasts about ten minutes. After you leave, our staff will take pictures of your vehicle and enter it into our online system. Your vehicle is now ready to auction! We do limit our auctions to about 100 vehicles, so the sooner you check in your vehicle the better chance you have of being in the next auction.

SALES FEES
The fee for listing your vehicle is $25 dollars. If your vehicle sells at auction, we will apply the listing fee towards your sales fee, which is based on the final sale price of your vehicle:

- $0 - $1249: $50 sale fee
- $1250 - $2499: $75 sale fee
- $2500 - $4999: $100 sale fee
- $5000+: $200 sale fee

If your vehicle does not sell, the listing fee will be paid prior to relaesing your vehicle and title. If your vehicle does sell, the sales fee will be deducted from the final sale price and a check will be available for pickup once the buyer has paid in full.

RESERVE and IFs
When you sell your vehicle, you may want to indicate a minimum amount that must be bid before the vehicle is sold. this amount is called the reserve, or protect, and will be indicated on the check-in sheet. We will not sell the vehicle for less than this amount. If the highest amount bid is within about $500 of your reserve, the auctioneer may sell your vehicle on an "IF". When a vehicle is sold on "IF", it is a conditional sale upon the approval of the seller. We will contact you with the highest bid amount for your consideration.

TIPS FOR SELLING YOUR VEHICLE
The following are general tips for selling your vehicle.

- Vehicles at auction typically bring wholesale or trade-in value. If you are looking to get retail value for your vehicle, our auction may not be the right venue for you.
- Vehicles bring more at auction when they are clean and washed. The money you spend on a detail will definitely pay dividends when your vehicle sells.
- List, or announce, all known issues with your vehicle. An informed buyer will pay more for a vehicle they feel the seller is honest about.
- list all enhancements and extras, it's to your benefit.
- Fix minor problems before auction. Just like a good detail, fixing minor problems shows a potential buyer that your care about your vehicle and that your vehicle has been well taken care of.
